MindRide is more than just a project. It is an open invitation for those who are interested in learning basic techniques of personal growth as Mindfulness and Yoga; it is as well a network of Peacemakers.
Mainly we direct our efforts to reach those communities where the political or socio-economic context make the access to these techniques difficult. We believe in the importance of generating a substantial transformation in the system of ethical values through the exploration of Mindfulness and Yoga. Moreover we strive to generate awareness towards the wellbeing of the physical body and mental health.
Several studies have already demonstrated that the continuous practice of these techniques leads to multiple benefits as: reduction of stress, increased efficiency and performance, greater empathy with the environment, higher emotional intelligence, better quality of sleep.
It’s is important for society to develop a transformation process led by the community itself. Transformation starts from the inside. A change will only be possible when each member of the community takes care of their own health, both mentally and physically. This shift will then flourish back into the surrounding environment.
Mindfulness and Yoga play a relevant role in giving our practice a context. Both help us enhancing our inner self study, reminding us that we are all connected and that our actions have a ripple effect in our community.
We are as well open to collaborations with institutions, schools, doctors, psychologists, trauma specialists, artists, filmmakers, ecologists, architects, nutritionists, ... etc. Moreover we welcome anyone who is willing to help us improve our project.
As all belief systems are based on love, kindness and compassion, we are striving to create a set of values aimed at reinforcing the local belief systems in each community with no intention to alter its uniqueness.
MindRide aims to induce a higher state of consciousness through centuries old teachings in the support of each local community (Sangha) where compassion, loving kindness, patience and generosity become the central axis of social interaction.
